Since relaunching themselves as Seaton Drama Group just over a year ago, the group has gone from strength to strength.
Their latest venture has been to enter local one-act play festivals. Pictured left is the cast of Figuring Things by Michael Fosbrook, which was entered into both the Sidmouth and Exmouth Festivals, with the trophies they were given at the Exmouth Players awards evening on Saturday, April 26th at the Blackmore Theatre, Exmouth
Adjudicator Peter English (GODA) short-listed the cast in all categories and awarded Phil Christmas the Blackmore Cup for Best Actor and Rachel Crowhurst the Rose Cummings Memorial Award for Speech and Expression as well as placing the production as runner-up to Best Play.

Drama Group is top choice
Seaton Drama Group had a successful visit to the Blackmore Theatre for the Exmouth Amateur Festival of One Act Plays recently.
Presenting "After Ate", by first-time playwright Seaton's own John Adams and directed by Val Christmas, which showed at Seaton Town Hall in November, the group was presented with the Raymond Moxley Memorial Cup for Adjudicator's Choice.
Jim Cleverly, pictured holding the cup was nominated for Best Actor.
The Group's next production, "They Came From Mars and Landed Outside the Farndale Avenue Church Hall in Time for the Townswomen's Guild's Coffee Morning", a comedy by David McGillivray and Walter Zerlin Jnr, will be staged at Seaton Town Hall from June 13th to 16th
